Mike Fiers called Giancarlo Stanton “childish” for the way he reacted to being hit by a pitch on Monday night.
The Detroit Tigers pitcher hit Stanton with a pitch in the third inning of the second game of a double-header on Monday. Keep in mind that Fiers also hit Stanton with a pitch in the face in 2014, causing the slugger serious injuries.

After the game, Fiers called Stanton “childish” and said that it’s obvious he lost control of a pitch and wasn’t trying to hit the slugger intentionally.

Stanton got Fiers with a solo homer in the sixth, but the Tigers won 4-2 and Fiers picked up the victory.
If Fiers can’t understand Stanton’s reaction, then he’s clueless. How could he not wonder about Fiers’ motives after being hit by him yet again?
